In 2019, I learned about a new production in development called The Chosen. I was so moved by the project and its mission that I became one of its early investors. But I wanted to do more than invest. I wanted to be part of the journey.
I reached out to the producer and offered the services of National Set Medics at a discounted rate. What followed was an incredible experience—not just for me personally, but for our company and the production itself.
I booked Chris G., a three-time Reality Medic, to work on the production. And as if that wasn’t special enough, I even had the opportunity to play one of the Roman soldiers! (pictured here with director Dallas Jenkins)
National Set Medics continued providing medical services throughout COVID, supporting the production through the completion of its first two seasons. Eventually, The Chosen transitioned to a union production, and our chapter with the show came to an end.
But one of the things I’m proud of is Chris G. Chris brought an exceptional medical kit to the set, demonstrated his professionalism, and delivered the kind of service that makes our entire team proud. He eventually joined the union, and we couldn’t be happier for him. His journey is a great example of what can happen when talented medics bring their skills, dedication, and professionalism to the productions they serve.
At National Set Medics, we’re proud to have played a small part in the story of The Chosen. We invested in the project, supported the production, and watched one of our own grow professionally along the way.
That’s what it’s all about: supporting great productions, and taking pride in the people who represent us.
